Finance Lead (Hands-on | Startup Role)

Biotastic Health Systems is a fast-growing wellness and biohacking brand building science-backed recovery and longevity solutions, including cold therapy, red light therapy, and heat-based wellness systems. We operate across B2B and D2C channels and are scaling rapidly with a lean, execution-focused team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time, hands-on Finance Lead role in a lean, fast-growing startup. Based at our Chennai office, you will independently manage finance operations, financial reporting, and compliance, and work closely with leadership to support business decisions and scale.

Location: Chetpet, Chennai

Minimum Experience: 3-6years

Pay scale: upto 5LPA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Operations & Control

• Own day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial operations end-to-end
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, and expense controls
• Prepare monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

Taxation & Compliance

• Handle GST filings, returns, reconciliations, and notices
• Manage import/export documentation and related tax compliance
• Coordinate directly with CA firms, auditors, and statutory authorities
• Ensure timely completion of audits and regulatory filings

Receivables & Credit Control

• Track customer receivables (B2B and B2C) and follow up for timely collections
• Monitor credit terms, ageing, and DSO
• Work closely with sales and operations to maintain payment discipline

Operational & Administrative Finance

• Process vendor payments and manage purchase documentation
• Maintain financial records, contracts, and compliance documentation
• Support leadership with financial data, clarity, and reporting as required

This role requires direct execution and ownership, not just review or supervision.

What we're looking for:

• 36 years of experience in finance, accounting, or compliance roles
• Strong hands-on experience with GST, audits, and statutory compliance in India
• Comfortable working independently in a startup environment
• Practical knowledge of accounting/ERP tools such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end
